Bright’s Creek April 2023 Newsletter

The Lassiter Family Saying Hello to the Easter Bunny!

General Manager’s Scorecard

March was a challenging month for weather, and we are hoping that April is much more kind for golf. Our aerification went extremely well and expect the course to be in great shape. Over the first two weeks following aerification, we will have preferred guest rates. It’s a great time to bring your friends and guests to experience Bright’s Creek.

This week we are re-introducing our larger in season Water Wheel menu for lunch and dinner. You can still expect weekly features in addition to this expanded menu. Our menu features club made items and products sourced from local, fresh suppliers.

We are going on the road to Charlotte to share the story and excitement of Bright’s Creek. We will be at Charlotte Country Club on April 20th and The Peninsula Club on April 21st. If you have friends or business associates who might wish to learn more about real estate and membership, please send their contact information to Jessica Justice, Membership Director, at jessica@brightscreekclub.com. We will be happy to issue an invitation to your guests on your behalf. Our events in Naples and Charleston were quite successful and have generated interest in Discovery tours around real estate and membership.

Most of the stonework has been completed at the Amenity Center and our attention has turned to the parking lot and access points to the pool. Typical with large construction projects we have a number of punch list items related to the certificate of occupancy that we are working through.

Finally, on a personal note. Many of you may know that I am originally from New England and both my wife, and I still have most of our family there, including our moms. As our moms are aging and our kids and grandkids are growing up, we have made the decision to relocate back to Massachusetts. I do want to thank Mark Lampert, Frank Blythe and Eddie Garcia for the opportunity to be part of Bright’s Creek and appreciate their support. I have enjoyed and been privileged to be part of the Bright’s Creek community and team; it is a special club with great Members. I will be finishing up at the end of this month and will remain a fan of Bright’s Creek. The club is in great hands with Bright’s Creek Partners and the department head leadership team.

and apple cider vinaigrette.

Golf Update

It was exciting to see future LPGA and PGA Tour stars this past Saturday as the Golf Shop hosted the Easter Egg Hunt due to rainy conditions. We look forward to a fantastic golf season as the greens are recovering nicely from aeration. Please note the Nine and Dine is scheduled for Friday, April 28th starting at 4:00pm. The Calendar of Events is listed below under upcoming events and don’t forget The Book of Golf has the full season of events.

We will be hosting club fitting days from Titleist, TaylorMade, XXIO, and PXG throughout the season. Please email me at markernst@brightscreekclub.com or come by the Golf Shop to get more information on the equipment offerings from each company.

I will be available to all members for golf instruction beginning Wednesday, April 19th. Please contact me for rates and availability. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and the latest in technology to assist in lowering your scores.
