This year’s show is on Saturday, October 25th, at the beautiful Maggie Valley Festival Grounds, less than an hour and a half from Bright’s Creek. Explore Enchanting Autumn Activities & Festivals
The artistic city of Asheville, NC, sits less than an hour from Mill Spring and offers the best in culture, arts, food, and entertainment. Get into the spooky spirit with Asheville’s family-friendly Haunted Trail, happening Fridays and Saturdays through October. You’ll find elaborate live-action outdoor scenes with magical lights, an aerial glow trail with lasers, a spooky pirate’s cove, and so much more fall fun.
Keep your fall festival rotation going with a stop at the Cashiers Valley Leaf Festival, held annually in October. This artisan fall festival celebrates the breathtaking autumn tapestry of reds, oranges, and yellows located in the Heart of Cashiers. This popular and FREE event welcomes 100 artisans to the park, where you’ll find handcrafted wood, pottery, jewelry, and more. Plus, enjoy food and drinks, kids’ activities, and live music to put you in a fall fest mood. You’ll find Cashiers less than a scenic two-hour drive from Mill Spring, for the perfect autumn day trip. No fall season is complete without an outing to the orchard to pick fresh apples! Luckily, there’s an array of farms in the area waiting to welcome your family. Voted Best Apple Orchard by USA Today, the iconic Sky Top Orchard is less than a short 30-minute drive from Mill Spring, NC. From hayrides and apple cannons to their famous cider donuts, you’ll enjoy this fun family tradition that’s been in Flat Rock, NC, since 1967!
