Happy New Year! 2022 was a great year for the club. We grew our Membership, expanded our services and experience, and continued to invest in the future of Bright’s Creek.
Our biggest project is the continued construction of our new Amenity Center. As we move into 2023, we will complete this project, including a saltwater pool, two-lane bowling alley, pool side grille and bar, member social area, and fitness center. We anticipate starting a phased opening of the facility in late February and expect to be fully operational by our summer golf season. This new building will be a perfect way for current and future Members to enjoy a full slate of amenities and services at the club.
The golf course gets better every year regarding turf health and green quality. We continue to work on key areas of the course to improve our views and open up more air circulation across our turf, critical to grass health. We finished our first full year of turf review by the North Carolina Chapter of the United States Golf Association Agronomy staff and identified some key items that are part of our long-term strategy for the health and maintenance of the course.
We hope you will take a moment to take a look at Bright’s Creek as a place for your family to enjoy for many years to come.
Regards and thank you,
Steve Alden | General Manager

Purposeful practice is a necessity for improvement. Hitting balls blindly with no area of focus or intent is WASTING your time. This would be considered “regular” practice, while purposeful or deliberate practice is systematic and has a GOAL.
Ben Hogan is a perfect example. When he retooled his swing, he engaged in deliberate practice. He “found” it in the dirt by having goal-oriented practice, not rapid-fire range sessions. Pick a target, envision the shot, and focus on your goal. Whether the goal is to hit a high sizzling draw or just get the ball airborne.
Be sure to have a goal when you practice and make more rehearsals and slow-motion swings versus hitting balls on repeat…This approach will pay dividends in your progression. Keep in mind tour pros spend 75-80% of their practice sessions with clubs used 100 yards and in…
Sincerely,
AJ Fetsko, PGA | Director of Golf
